Owner Spotlight: Teresa Ciccone

I’m Teresa Ciccone, proud owner of Ciccone Law.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I grew up in Toronto. I started studying at York University and later on went to the University of Windsor where I earned my law degree, which helped to lay a strong foundation for my career.

Assisting others in getting through difficult times is the reason why I am practicing law. It has always been a goal of mine to help as many individuals as I can in a manner that is fair and reasonable. I started my own practice seven years ago and have been working as a family lawyer for ten years. Resolving matters of people so they can move on with their lives and reaching a settlement is very gratifying. These resolutions are the most enjoyable part of my job.

I generally work for eight to ten hours. Some days I work for a few hours, while on other days I could be working for eighteen hours. It all depends on what is needed. I run my own practice which means I complete most tasks from generating business, answering client's legal inquiries, drafting separation agreements or cohabitation agreements also known as domestic contracts, drafting legal or court documents, attending court matters, i.e. conferences or motions, participating in mediations/arbitration, negotiations, to assisting individuals in their family law matters.

“How many clients can I take on at any given time?” - Is the most important decision I face on a daily basis. It’s my patience, negotiation skills, and research, that helps me in performing my job well.

My business has grown through referrals because I treat people extremely fairly and in turn, they showcase their gratitude by sending me additional clients and friends and colleagues. I attribute my success to treating my clients well.

Although my success at my first solo trial and court of appeal was the highlight, the most gratifying moments in my life are reaching settlements for cases where people need peace and resolution. Giving people closure is quite gratifying.

Individuals who are strong, altruistic and give back to their communities resonate with me the most. They are the ones who have had the most impact on my leadership style. I also have a strong moral ethic and treat people with kindness, respect, and fairness and I always assist individuals off the clock whenever I can.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our expertise in legal services, I invite you to get in touch. Please visit my website at www.cicconelaw.ca.

Sincerely,

Teresa
